First Baptist Church has a rich heritage with over 130 years of Christian service, but we don’t think of ourselves as old.  We have wonderful young families with small children who enrich and energize our fellowship.  Our senior adults are active and on the go.  Our youth ministry is exciting and challenging. There is a place for everyone in our music ministry that enriches our worship each Sunday. Our professional ministerial staff brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our church.  With only three senior ministers since World War II and an associate minister with twenty-five years of service, longevity is the norm.  The Martha Best Children’s Center is well-known and respected with a director who has served since 1983.
